Topic: Band support group in Toledo area?
I'm having lap-band surgery in Detroit at Great Lakes Weight Loss next week and am looking for a local support group (Toledo area). Would love to find a lap-band specific group, but would be very happy with a general WLS group.
Any ideas?

Not really no. I have started going to FA (Food Addicts Anonymous) but I would like support with people who have had the surgery.

I just realized that 6 years ago I was in the OR for my WLS. Am I a success???? According the charts NO. They say I should weigh between 91-115 YEA RIGHT!!!!!! When I got to 113 all the docs told me I was TO THIN!!!!!!! Am I a lot better off than 6 years ago HELL YA!!!!!!! I'm at a good weight FOR ME!!!!!!!!I might not be able to wear a bikini but I'm 48 I don't think I would wear one anyway.

I was just thinking - are there any OA Meetings in your area? Many patients also attend OA and that could help.
